My brightest moment of 2017 is the gift that keeps on giving! TED was a wonderful opportunity; I met so many brilliant people, witnessed first-hand the genius that exists on the continent, and got a chance to speak about something I care deeply about to an audience that keeps growing.
Speaking of growth, my talk was published on 8th September 2017 and hit one million views on 28th November. Way to go, right? As if that wasn’t enough, at the beginning of the year, my talk was listed alongside some really incredible people (Pope Francis, Elif Shafak, Elon Musk…?!) as one of the ten most notable talks of 2017.
And then as if that wasn’t enough, the video of the unscheduled Q & A I did with Chris Anderson was published not long after that. He said he enjoyed my talk so much that he really just wanted me back on stage–and that’s practically a direct quote!
